This costume was made for an mBrosia dance group number for AN '05. We all Cosplayed humanized and feminized versions of different Anime mascot and animal characters. I'm not a huge Digimon fan but I do like Biyomon and my favourite colour is pink. I wanted this to be a somewhat simple costume but at the same time have some interesting details that are a testament to the fact that Biyomon is a bird. I thought it would be comfy and easy to move in a jacket like dress with long, but open sleeves. The open sleeves were meant to give the dress a sort of bird like quality. The bottom of the dress ended in points since Biyomon has a pointed tail. I made little blue triangles for details, which I sewed onto the points. I made and sewed a crest of love to the very back of the outfit toosince that's Sora's crest. I think it was a bit lopsided though. XD I made yellow boot covers for the outfit since Biyomon has big oversized feet and a grey ankle "bracelet" out of a strip of fabric. The wig was a rather cheap Halloween type wig so it's not that great. The fun part was adding the ears to it, which I stuffed and sewed to the wig and Pan came up with the idea of breading hair extensions with blue bows and feathers into the wig just to give it some flair. I also added a choker with a feather on it to further suggest a feathered/bird theme. I just wore a pair of blue shorts that I own under the outfit to fit with Biyomon's pink and blue colours and also since they were comfortable to dance in. I believe the outfit turned out decently but I don't really have a lot of flattering pictures of it. (~_~);; A better wig would have really helped this outfit but it was just for fun and doing the dance number so the costume did it's job. As you can see from the group shot, we humanized a lot of different Anime mascot characters. :3
