Future Cosplay Possibilities
Ayanami Rei - Neon Genesis Evangelion (Witch Figure)
I discovered and purchased this figure at Youmacon 2011 and I fell in love with Rei's design. I'm crazy for Halloween and I love the colours and details so I'm thinking that I might try to make this costume for the fall of 2012. We'll see if I have energy and time to make it, but if I can find a friend to Cosplay the matching Asuka, it's sure to happen. :3 I can't get the design out of my head.
Babydoll - Sucker Punch
Ever since I saw the Sucker Punch trailer for the first time in 2010 my interest was peaked in the film and I especially took notice of the Babydoll character. Given my Cosplay history, it's a little evident that I like the school girl motif. I think Babydoll's outfit looks really cool with the different design elements and the incorporation of Babydoll's weaponry. I also really liked her character and the concept and imagery in the film. I got to see an advance screening of the film and it really got me interested in Cosplaying as Babydoll.
Little Sister - Bioshock 2
I was a big fan of the first game and the sequel was a lot of fun to play. I've always wanted to make some sort of Bioshock costume and I'm a big fan of the Little Sister design from the second game. I know I'm a little old to be Cosplaying a Little Sister though. XD I'm still considering my options and if I can find a Splicer design that I really like I may make a Splicer costume instead. If I make this costume I'm hoping that it will be for a group. My biggest concern with making a Little Sister costume would be finding decent fabric and a pattern to work with. I also have my heart set on getting yellow contacts for this, but I don't think I could get full yellow contacts and with my poor vision it would be super expensive to get prescription effect ones. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'll be able to find something that will work. This would be a really fun costume to make!
Demon Nurse - Silent Hill 3
I've always wanted to get messy and do a monster character from a horror game. Since Silent Hill is my favourite horror game franchise, it seems only right to Cosplay a nurse from one of the games. I love the designs for the nurses from 3. I think the peeling lips and creepy walk is really freaky. I'm hoping to make this costume to join in a Silent Hill monsters group with some friends if the group ever comes together. I'm really looking forward to tackling this project and learning about make-up and what not to really do justice to the monsters of SH.
Mikan - Gakuen Alice
After messing up my school uniform for Ruka, I really want to Cosplay Mikan to do a better job on the uniform. I love Mikan's character and it was fun Cosplaying her school festival dress so I'm really excited about Cosplaying her again. Sakura is interested in Cosplaying Hotaru and I want us to have matching plaids so it might be challenging to find a nice plaid to use.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (Inspired Costume)
I have a neat idea for a costume inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas (which is one of my favourite movies of all time). I'm not sure when I'm going to make it but I'm very excited about the project. :3
Garrod - After War Gundam X
I've wanted to Cosplay as Garrod for a few years now (ever since I first watched some of Gundam X back in 2002). It's a fairly simple outfit to make (and I'm only making the jacket and the shirt) so I'm hoping it won't be that challenging. (^^) I really enjoyed Gundam X and I think that series deserves more love. I'm trying to convince my friend Sakura to Cosplay Tifa and if she agrees I'll definitely start working on this costume. :3
Li Syaoran (school uniform) - Card Captor Sakura
My very first costume back in 2001 was Li Syaoran's battle outfit and it really didn't do the character justice. Now that I've made so many of Syaoran's Tsubasa outfits, I think it would be fun and nostalgic to make one of Li Syaoran's school uniforms. I adore CCS Syaoran so this costume be a lot of fun to make and wear.
Dilandau - Vision of Escaflowne
This is a dream Cosplay of mine. Dilandau has always been one of my favourite Anime characters; in fact, he is my favourite Anime villain. Therefore, I would love to make his full battle armour eventually. Of course, that will take a lot of skill, time and money, so I'm not sure when or even if this costume will happen, but it is a dream of mine. Maybe I'll be up to the challenge in a couple of years.
