This was a very odd costume choice for me since no one would peg me for Cosplaying an older male character. It was a closet costume that I mostly did because my friend Sakura asked me to (since she wanted a Sven to go with her Cosplaying Train). I liked Sven's character so I decided it would be fun to try Cosplaying him. My biggest regret is the fact that I didn't buy a wig for the costume. My friend Pan gave me an old green wig that she had which we cut and attempted to style to suit the character. Unfortunately the wig was of low quality to begin with and the fact that it had been crushed and messed up because it was a few years old didn't help matters. XD I borrowed the suit jacket and shirt from Pan as well and the original tie that I used for this costume was borrowed from my friend Bianco. Sakura later bought me a red zipper tie which I wear a lot and really like. I actually bought a hat form to use for Sven and since it was white, I didn't have to cover it or alter it in any way. I found a really nice blue ribbon at the dollar store that I cut and used for the detailing on Sven's hat. I also bought a cheap pirate eye patch since Sven always wears a patch over his vision eye. I even bought fake cigarettes for added effect (even though I hate smoking). The outfit looked really cool but my wig was really silly. XD I only have one picture of this costume that I like (but it did turn out really nicely). A couple of months after the con Sakura and I bought markers and a base wig which we did plan to eventually cut and style so I could Cosplay Sven. Hopefully we’ll eventually find the wig and markers and colour the wig since I'm now a fan of the series and I would love to Cosplay Sven again. :3
